Who We Are
The Solon Benevolent Fund is a 501 (c) (3) charity organization composed
of volunteer board members who donate their time and energy. Nearly 98
percent of all monies raised by SBF go back into the Solon community.
From its founding in 2005 to the present day, the Solon Benevolent Fund
has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to various individuals and
programs in Solon.
The Board of Directors of the Solon Benevolent Fund evaluates and reviews
each request for assistance. Disbursements are made throughout the year
based upon the merit of each application.
What does SBF do for the Solon Community?
The Solon Benevolent Fund provides financial assistance to a wide variety
of Solon programs, institutions and individuals in need. These include,
but are not limited to, school programs, religious organizations, families
and community groups. As applications are received, the SBF Board of
Directors evaluates them and decides how much support to provide.
In the past SBF has funded summer camp programs, college scholarships,
food pantries, and educational programs. Additionally, SBF has provided
assistance to individuals and families who are in need.
